Lee’s Surrender Vitreous Enamel on Copper Wall Art…
There’s an interesting story behind this enamel!
Lee’s Surrender was inspired by a weaving pattern Camille completed in Black and White. She was struck by the strong, contrasting pattern and also happened to be taking a screen-printing class at the same time. Combining these two projects, she took a photograph of her weaving project and created the screen that was then used to make this enamel.
Another interesting note about this piece is that although we see “color”, colored glass was not used to make this piece. The red color we see here is the Copper oxidizing from exposure to the heat.
This handmade Vitreous Enamel Art can be hung on your wall, displayed on a shelf, or placed on a table top. The overall presentation is enhanced by the enamel panels appearing to float above the elegant acrylic background in a deep gallery frame. Each wall piece is completed with a hanging wire and a dust cover backing. We also include: information about your special piece and the artist, a complimentary wall hanger with nail, and felt bumpers - so you are ready to hang your new piece the minute it arrives!
